Happy 4th of July weekend! To kick off the weekend, Matt and I had a date night and I wore one of my new summer dresses from Lulus. Lately, I find myself buying clothes online way more than in-store. I just feel like the clothes in stores haven't been grabbing me lately!

Lulus is on the pricier side, but I've always been extremely happy with the quality of their clothing. In the past, I have bought from online retailers that were EXTREMELY affordable, but the clothes just didn't last. I'd rather spend a little more to get more longevity out of the purchase!

Anyway, I'm a sucker for anything floral and I just love how vibrant the colors are on this dress. I paired my dress with a straw cross-body bag that I got last year from Francesca's, and some summery heels.

Lulus has a promotion going on right now too! You can spin their Summer Spinner for a discount, with the chance to win 50% off site-wide. This is going on until July 5th.

I've always been in love with summer. The sun-kissed skin, no need to wear makeup (it just melts off!), and also being able to air-dry my natural waves. It's heaven.

I recently purchased another swimsuit that I actually found from an Instagram ad! They know how to get ya ;) This swimsuit is super inexpensive: the entire set was $32! It's available in 5 different colors, but I bought mine in Buttermilk because I liked how delicate it was! The link to the suit is here. :)

I love creating "looks", even if I'm just going to the pool. I paired my swimsuit with this sheer floral coverup, my beach hat, and I was good to go! Now that I have these new swimsuits in tow, I'm even more excited to go to the beach this summer.

Hello again! It feels like it has been an eternity since I've written a blog. To be completely honest, one of the main reasons for that is because I had been feeling a sense of stagnancy in my life and it was kind of acting as a block towards my creativity- which obviously impacts my motivation to put blogs together! We also got an adorable and naughty puppy, Moose, who has been a lot of work and has also taken a lot of my free time, so it's just been a combination of both of these things.

But, now that Moose is 4 months old and getting better behaved and more set into routine, it's a bit easier to have more "me time". I've also been self-reflecting and I came to the realization that in order to change the feelings of being stuck and stagnant, I can't continue to focus on those feelings. And things that help to shift that focus are gratitude, hobbies, and focusing on what is going RIGHT in my life. :)

Now, to get down to the point of this post- my new swim suit from Triangl! I was set on getting a gold swim suit this summer and I found one from PacSun, but they were...

For the last year or so, I've seen so many celebrities rocking baggy, wide leg jeans. I pondered, I debated. These jeans look so cool and hip, but was it just celebrity allure? We all know this; sometimes there's fashion that only the A-listers can pull off. And these wide leg pants are a little more out there than your standard skinny jeans or mom jeans. But, thanks to TikTok, I saw that plenty of girls are wearing this trendy denim and they look just as good as the celebrities!

I bought the hyped-up Zara Jeans (link below) and when I first tried them on, I was crest-fallen to find out they were like 4 inches too long on me! But, luckily these jeans already have a raw hem, so they're meant to be cut to your personal fit. An easy fix!

Here's the link to the jeans: Zara Jeans (I got mine in "Light Blue")

Soon, I'll share the simple method of how to cut the jeans on my social media! Stay tuned!

Hey ya'll! I have another AMAZING Amazon find to share! As I've mentioned before I've been slowly trying to add to my winter/fall wardrobe. It's pretty warm in Austin most of the year, so I do find myself buying summer clothes way more frequently. But, this winter season has been probably the coldest I've experienced in Texas, so I've been intentionally trying to add some great pieces to wear in the colder months.

I can't believe I found this long sleeve bodysuit on Amazon. I feel like buying clothes on Amazon can be hit and miss and I was a little worried to buy a bodysuit since you really need those to fit in the right way. But, this bodysuit COMPLETELY exceeded my expectations.

The fabric is so soft, very fitting, the bodysuit doesn't sag at your butt (haha), AND it's under $20! I bought mine in the colors A2 Burgundy and A02 White, but I think I might buy one or two more! The quality really is that great. And, I love wearing tight long-sleeves in the cold! Just keeps you super snug!

This bodysuit is definitely something you want to wear with a high-waisted...

I've been wearing my glasses as of late because I recently found out that my eye is allergic to my contact lenses! I'd been having issues with my right eye for months and I had no idea that it was my contacts triggering the problem. Luckily, once my eye is back to normal, I can switch contact lens brands which should resolve the issue!

Anyway, I've been feeling a bit insecure because of wearing glasses, no eye makeup, and right before this I'd been having a ton of breakouts. Of course when it rains it pours, right?

But the other day, when I was in my thoughts, I wondered... why DON'T I feel as "cute" in glasses than when I'm not? I bought some really cute frames a couple years ago, and I typically do wear my glasses on occasion, but NEVER when I'm going out on a date or dressing up.

And upon asking myself this, I realized that all the cute outfits and looks that I see on my Pinterest page or my Instagram feed, are rarely accompanied with glasses. And so, somewhere along the way, I think I just always felt that wearing glasses was reserved for those days when...

This winter has felt like one of the coldest winters I've experienced in Austin! I honestly don't mind cold weather (Texas cold is nothing like Iowa cold), but being that it doesn't get cold here too often, a lot of my winter clothes aren't very warm.

I decided to look for a thicker, bulkier sweater that'll keep me warm on those colder days and I found this really cute two-toned one from American Eagle. Mine is in the oatmeal color, the link is directly below!

My American Eagle Sweater

It was on the pricier side at $49.99, but after looking for sweaters at a few different places this was the one I liked the most. So, I decided to splurge! I love that it's a looser, oversized fit because it goes so well with leggings. I felt so comfy and warm in this outfit; I wore a cami underneath since layering always makes you feel a little warmer. I also felt a little 80's in this look, and I love wearing outfits that give homage to...

I've been holding onto this gem for awhile and decided it's time to share it! If you haven't seen my cute oversized sweater from Amazon, click here to check out that post.

The back on this sweater is criss cross and v-neck, so it's a great sweater to wear for a date night or other nice occasions during the fall and winter months.

I bought mine in the color Apricot, but Amazon doesn't disappoint; they have this sweater in 7 other colors!

It's also on sale right now for Prime members: 15% off! I'm not sure how long the sale is going to last, but $20 for this sweater is so worth it. I love it so much.

The link to my sweater is down below, at the bottom of the post. Enjoy!

My wishes for cooler weather have finally come true... a cold front has come through Texas and I can finally whip out my fall clothing! I recently went on a quick trip back to the Midwest and in planning for that trip, I realized how little I've added to my fall/winter wardrobe over the past few years that I've lived in Texas.

So, I was on the hunt for a couple of new sweaters, but since I've been so busy I was hoping that I could find something online. I had never bought clothing from Amazon before, but seeing as I have a Prime membership, I knew it would be super convenient if I could find something cute from there. Well you guys, I struck gold!

I know buying online can be hit or miss since you don't have the opportunity to try on the clothing beforehand, but I was so lucky that this sweater fits so nicely!

The sweater is an oversized fit, so it has a slouchy feel and look without being too baggy. It's off the shoulder and the fabric is a thinner knit, so it's a good sweater to...

Today, I'm talking all about Boyfriend jeans! Ya'll. I love these jeans sooo much. I love them even MORE than the Mom jeans I shared in my last post!

These boyfriend jeans are slouchy, comfy, a little bit baggy, but all without the risk of looking ill-fitting. They're the perfect denim if you want something super casual to throw on.

The biggest difference between Boyfriend jeans and Mom jeans? For one thing, Boyfriend jeans sit lower on the hips (below the bellybutton) while Mom jeans are high-waisted. I'd say the other main difference is that Boyfriend jeans have a loose/baggy fit throughout the whole pant; whereas, Mom jeans I'd call more of a relaxed fit than a loose or baggy fit.

Between the two, I like boyfriend jeans a little bit more! Just for the comfort.

Mom jeans have been my latest obsession— and also, just looser fitting clothing in general! All throughout high school and college I was attached to my skinny jeans and tight dresses. But recently, this last year especially, I've really gravitated toward clothing that provides more comfort.

Obviously, it's common knowledge that fashion styles are recycled and in recent times, we've seen a resurgence of 80's and 90's trends (along with other decades) in our favorite stores and boutiques. The last couple of years, I've noticed celebrities wearing baggy, but stylish clothes (think Hailey Bieber, Bella Hadid) and ever since have been wanting to dress myself into something similar!

So, what ARE Mom jeans?

The name 'Mom jeans' may dredge up some flashbacks of unflattering, unfashionable denim from the 80's and 90's— but, 2020 Mom jeans are nothing like the Mom jeans of the past.

These Mom jeans are high-waisted with a looser fit around the legs and zipper area. They're a straight pant, neither flared nor fitted around the ankles; and, while the fit is relaxed...
